Services for DeCroce Set for This Week

Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, with a mass Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Church.

Services have been set for General Assembly Minority Leader Alex DeCroce, .

DeCroce, 75, of Parsippany, served in the Assembly since 1989 and was named the his party’s leader there in 2003. His wife, Betty Lou DeCroce, is a deputy commissioner with the Department of Community Affairs. He was a former Morris County freeholder.

A wake will be held 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 46 Baldwin Road.

DeCroce was remembered by fellow Republicans and by Gov. Chris Christie, who had been scheduled to give his State of the State address Tuesday but instead eulogized DeCroce, who he described as "."
