Parsippany Celebrates Hanukkah with Annual Menorah Lighting

There were musical performances from youth choirs from Temple Beth Am and Adath Shalom Tuesday night.

Despite the 36-degree weather, a couple dozen kids and plenty more adults sang and clapped along with several Rabbis and with cantorial student Brian Kalver on guitar.

The township and Mayor Jamie Barberio hosted the Lighting of the Menorah in celebration of Hanukkah on Tuesday night and welcomed Rabbi Baumgarten and Rabbi Herson from the Chabad Center of Northwest NJ, Rabbi Shalom Lubin from Congregation Shaya Ahvat Torah, Rabbi Howard Kosovske and Cantor Inna Serebro-Litvak from Temple Beth Am and Rabbi Moshe Rudin from Adath Shalom.

Temple Beth Am Youth Choir and children of Adath Shalom sang Hanukkah selections and everyone warmed up in town hall for a few words from the mayor and the Rabbis while eating jelly donuts and latkes.
