Waterview Ordinance Taken Off Tuesday Agenda

Waterview ordinance is not yet ready for introduction, said Parsippany-Troy Hills Municipal Clerk Yancy Wazirmas.

The controversial Waterview ordinance has been removed from Tuesday's Township Council meeting agenda, according to Parsippany-Troy Hills Municipal Clerk Yancy Wazirmas.

The drafting of the ordinance has not yet been finished and is not yet ready for introduction, she said.

The revised ordinance, which would have been up for first reading, would permit rezoning of a tract of land in the Waterview complex.

Waterview Development is a proposal in which a developer is seeking to build a Whole Foods Market and townhouse community on 26.6 acres of Parsippany's Waterview tract. A group of residents from Parsippany and nearby have been vocal in opposition of the proposal.

The meeting will proceed Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Parsippany Hills High School.
