Nine Candidates to Run for Three BOE Seats
Andrew Choffo is the only incumbent running for reelection.
Nine candidates have filed to run for three school board seats this year, including incumbent Andrew Choffo.
They include Susy Golderer, who declared that she might run last month; Gary Martin, a retired police officer; Sharif Shamsudin, a mortgage broker who is from Turkey, and Joseph Raich, who ran unsuccessfully for a seat last year.
Two incumbents, Robert Crawford and Louis Valori will not run for re-election. il and because of other commitments.
