11 Candidates File For Par-Troy School Board Election

Just two incumbents will seek re-election as three full three-year terms and one unexpired two-year term are available on the Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education race in the November election promises to be heated with 11 candidates vying for four seats on the board.

There are three seats open for full three-year terms and an unexpired two-year term available on the board.

The terms of incumbents Michael Strumolo, Fran Orthwein, Anthony Mancuso and Anthony T. DeIntinis are all expiring at the end of 2013. After the deadline to file nominating petitions on Tuesday, only Orthwein and DeIntinis had indicated intentions to run for re-election. Strumolo, who is not seeking re-election on the board, is instead running for a seat on the Parsippany Township Council.
