Former Parsippany School Principal Named West Orange Superintendent

Jeff Rutzky will begin in his new post July 1.

Jeff Rutzky, a former middle school principal from the Parsippany Hills School District, has been named the superintendent of the West Orange School District.

According to a blog post on West Orange Patch by that school district's board president Sandra Mordecai, the decision was made earlier this month to tap Rutzky as the new schools chief, and the board's April 28 meeting will finalize the decision.

Rutzky's contract is expected to begin July 1, 2014. He currently serves as the superintendent of the Roseland School District, the blog said. He's been an elementary principal in the Ridgefield School District and an assistant high school principal in the Teaneck School District during his career.
