MCT Seeds Set for Parsippany, Par Hills Girls Soccer

Par Hills will face Morris Hills; Parsippany gets set to see Morristown.

Both Parsippany and Parsippany Hills high schools' girls soccer teams face a long and arduous road to a Morris County championship. Following Wednesday night's seeding meeting, both clubs find themselves kept outside of the top 10 and forced to play a preliminary game to earn the right to appear in the first round.

Parsippany High (5-2), locked up the No. 12 seed and a preliminary round game against Morristown (0-6-1) on Sunday. The winner of that game will play fifth seed Morris Catholic in the first round.

Par Hills (3-3-1) is in the same boat as PHS, earning the 14th seed, setting up a preliminary round game against Morris Hills (2-4) on Sunday. The winner of that game will face third seeded Mendham in the first round.

Villa Walsh comes into the tournament riding a seven game winning streak, which includes two wins over No. 4 seed Kinnelon High, according to NJ.com.

Villa Walsh will face the winner of Whippany Park vs. Pequannock, who meet in the preliminary round on Sunday.

Randolph locked up the No. 2 seed over Mendham, thanks in large part to their 1-0 victory last week, which gave them a head-to-head avantage heading into Wednesday's seeding meeting. Mendham is the lone Morris County team ranked in the Star-Ledger top 20 teams in New Jersey, coming in at No. 19 earlier this week.

Randolph will face the winner of Montville vs. Hanover Park, and Mendham will go against the winner of Parsippany Hills vs. Morris Hills. Both preliminary round games are scheduled for Sunday.
