Parsippany School Kids Go Medieval

Par-Troy's Parents of Gifted and Talented sponsor Medieval Festival for elementary school students.

Parents of Gifted and Talented in Parsippany hosted its Medieval Festival last Wednesday at the Police Athletic League Center. The event, held every three years for students in grades 1-3 who are enrolled in the school district's Gifted Reach Out program. About 180 children from the township's 10 elementary schools took part.

The kids spent the day dressed in medieval garb doing crafts; listening to storytelling; learning about life in ancient times from a knight, squire and lady and seeing a falconry demonstration. The activity was capped with a medieval feast for the children, which was held in a great dining hall where attendees enjoyed a medieval feast.
