25 Violence, 65 Bullying Cases in Parsippany Schools Last Year, State Reports

Parsippany was among the districts with the most bullying incidents in the state in 2012-13.

Officials from the New Jersey Department of Education released Thursday the 2012-13 school year Violence, Vandalism and Substance Abuse in the Schools Report.

Parsippany-Troy Hills had 7,147 enrolled students with 25 incidents of violence, 12 incident of vandalism, no incidents with weapons, 17 incidents with substances and 65 HIB (bullying) for a total of 119 incidents.

Across Morris County, there were 77,928 students with 289 incidents of violence, 101 incidents of vandalism, 32 incidents with weapons, 173 incidents with substances and 540 HIB for a total of 1,103 incidents. 

Parsippany was No. 15 in the 20 NJ School Districts with the Most Bullying Incidents for the 2012-2013 school year.
