Parsippany Schools had early dismissal on Tuesday and will start school on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday due to the weather.

Gov. Chris Christie declared a state of emergency for New Jersey. The National Weather Service announced a winter storm warning until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

"Significant widespread snowfall will taper off overnight from west to east as bitterly cold air settles in," said the NWS for the Parsippany-Troy Hills area. There will be snow accumulations of 8 - 12 inches.

Northerly winds are 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph and temperatures are falling into the single digits overnight with a wind chill  as low as 15 degrees below zero.
