The Red Hawks baseball team lost 11-7 to Morris Hills in seven innings during its home game Tuesday, despite earning 11 hits to the opposing team's nine.
Nick Leitner had a hot bat for Parsippany. Leitner went 3-4, drove in a run and scored two more. He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the seventh inning. Nick Jannarone had 2 doubles for PHS. Kyle Jones and Tyler Pirylis chipped in with 2 hits each.
The top of the first saw Morris Hills take an early two-run lead. Morris Hills scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fourth.

It didn't take long for the Red Hawks to respond, scoring four runs of its own in the third inning. Par High scored on an RBI double by Nick Jannarone, an RBI single by Tyler Pirylis and a two-run single by Sagar Patel.
The lead stayed with Morris Hills' Scarlet Knights after the fifth, when it scored two runs on an error and a sacrifice fly.

Two Parsippany runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the seventh, making the score 11-7. An RBI double by Leitner and an RBI single by Kyle Jones sparked the Red Hawks' too-little-too-late rally.
