“We are joining with Group Workcamps to help make our trip possible,” said Parsippany High School Senior Zach Sempier. “Group Workcamps is an organization that works with local churches and community groups to assist in areas where people are in need of help.”

Sempier has traveled and volunteered with the group in Lapwai Idaho, Auburn New York and Somerville Tennessee.

“We will be part of a camp that will bring 400 people from all over the country together to help in the Keansburg NJ area devastated by Hurricane Sandy,” he said. “We truly want to be a part of this experience.”

“Many of these people are not able to repair their homes without our help,” he added. “I know my life will be impacted by meeting and getting to know these families.”

The group needs to raise $375 per person for the trip.
