Berns' 15 Points Not Enough for Parsipanny

Par Hills boys, girls fall to Morristown.

A 15-point performance from Max Berns wasn’t enough for the boys basketball team as they lost to Morris Catholic, 57-44, Tuesday night in Parsippany.

Seven Parsippany players scored in the loss, with Berns' 15 points leading the way. Lionel Chambers added 10-points and Kyle Tarabocchia and Leonard Lee each scored six for Parsippany, who went into halftime tied 25-25.

But the combination of Darius Osorio-Vega, CJ Drury and Paul Shapiro proved too much for Parsippany to overcome, as the trio racked up 42 points against the young Parsippany group.

With the loss, Parsippany falls to 0-2 on the season. Up next, Parsippany will face Union Catholic at home, Thursday at 7 p.m.

Par Hills Boys Fall

The Morristown boys basketball improved to 1-1 on the season with a 65-48 win over Par Hills on Tuesday, according to NJ.com.

Dylan Black and Sean Hoehn each scored 14 points and Ryan Brunnock had 13 for Morristown, who outscored Par Hills 20-10 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Michael DiEdwardo finished with 11 points and six rebounds for Parsippany Hills (1-1).

Par Hills Hockey Loses           

Despite goals from Cory DeCosta and Ryan O'Malley, the Par Hills hockey team failed to earn win No. 2 this season, as they fell to Sparta, 4-2, according to NJ.com.

Sparta’s Greg Jandoli scored all three goals in the first period, helping the Spartans to its third win of the season.

Parsippany Hills Girls Fall

The Par Hills girls basketball team fell to Morristown, 42-32, on Tuesday, according to NJ.com.

With the win Morristown improved to 1-1, while Par Hills falls to 0-3 this season.
