2012 Lake Parsippany Opening Day Activities

The summer 2012 swimming, boating and fishing season for Lake Parsippany officially opens with a community celebration and ceremonies on Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Drewes Beach located at Lake Shore Drive & Dorothy Road.

All are welcome to come and enjoy a family day filled with swimming, music, boat rides, and a chance to see your local Firemen, Rescue Squads, and Policemen with their various trucks and equipment. Find out about the many exciting activities available to members including our 12 clubs and year-round activities.

Help the mayor perform the ceremonial eye-dotting on one of the premier dragon boats in the Northeast (dragon boating is Korean-style competitive rowing) and greet local elected officials. There will also be demonstrations and information from various environmental and government service organizations.

There is always good food and drinks, along with a used book sale, scrapbooking demonstrations, free balloons, and face painting for the young and the young at heart!

Come and bring a non-perishable food item for the Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry to receive a free firecracker ice pop.
