Par-Troy Back With a Bang at Little League World Series

Emil Matti connects on two home runs and DJ Pico hits one of his own in win over Oregon.

Parsippany's bounced back in the Little League World Series with a convincing 10-4 win Saturday night over the Northwest Region champs from Gresham, Ore.

Emil Matti was the star of the game, starting off with a home run over the left-field wall, and later hitting another homer and a double. 

DJ Pico also connected on a home run.

Oregon didn't fold after PTLLE racked up a 5-0 lead, whittling that advantage down to one run. But Parsippany bats took command, and ultimately scored five more times, taking the score to 10-4.

After bouncing back on Saturday, Parsippany advances to play again on Monday at 4 p.m. Par-Troy will face the loser of Sunday's game between the West and Southeast.

Pitcher Kyle Phillips—who had a strong relief performance Saturday—exceeded the 35-pitch limit and will not be available to pitch in the next game.
