Par Relay for Life Survivor Speaker Will Celebrate Remissed Lymphoma

CCM registrar will address participants at Relay for Life of Greater Parsippany event in Veteran's Park.

Michele Dunn has not one but two main reasons for participating in this year's Relay for Life of Greater Parsippany event: to honor her late father who lost his battle to cancer in December 2007 and to celebrate her own lymphoma being in remission since January 2008.

Dunn, a Lincoln Park resident, will serve as this year's Survivor Speaker at the event, which will be held overnight from June 8 to June 9. Dunn will be speaking around 4 p.m. on June 8.

“I decided to take part in this year’s relay both to honor my father who lost his battle to cancer in December of 2007 and to celebrate my battle with lymphoma, which has been in remission since January 2008 and is now cured,” said Dunn. “This insidious disease touches so many lives, I want to be part of the battle for a cure.”
