Par-Troy Little League Baseball All-Stars Go for 3 in a Row Monday

PTLLE team, fresh from beating Collier, Penn., takes on Washington, D.C., Monday morning in the East Regional tournament in Bristol, Conn.

With their come from behind win over the Collier, Penn. team, the Par-Troy East 11/12 All-Stars advance in the East Region Little League Baseball Championships. The Parsippany team is scheduled to play the District of Columbia All-Stars on Breen Field in Bristol, Conn., Monday at 11 a.m.

The boys so far are 2-0 in the pool play tournament, besting New York's Stoney Point team Friday and, Saturday, coming back in the sixth inning from a deficit to deliver a loss to formerly undefeated Pennsylvania.

PTLLE's Emil Matti went 2 for 3, including a first-inning home run, to help his team to a 4-3 victory in six innings.

Bener Uygen started for as Parsippany's pitcher and gave up three runs (one earned) in 3 1/3 innings while striking out six.

 then put together a nice outing to finish out the game.   Pennsylvania managed just one hit off of the relief pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

The top of the first saw Pennsylvania take an early lead, 3-0. Zach Rohaley got things going for the opposing team with a double. Steve Alauzen singled, plating two runs.

More runs came home for Pennsylvania when Connor Corchado scored on an RBI single by Greyden Piednick.

PTLLE scored one run in the first inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fourth on a double by Phillips.

The game's last lead went to the Par-Troy East All-Stars thanks to a fifth-inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on two singles by Bener Uygen and David Ton.
