Parsippany Boys Fall to Pequannock

Par Hills girls lose to Morris Knolls.

Lionel Chambers and Sagar Patel's combined 22 points weren’t enough to lift the Parsippany boys basketball team to win No. 1 as the Red Hawks fell to Pequannock, 47-43, on Wednesday in Parsippany.

Mike DeJohn went for 21 points and Ryan Brogan added 17 for Pequannock, who trailed by six points at halftime before outscoring Parsippany 27-17 in the second half to move to 5-4 this season.

Max Berns finished with eight points and Leonard Lee added six points for Parsippany (0-9).

Par Hills Girls Fall

The Par Hills girls basketball team fell to 3-6 on the season with Wednesday’s 39-24 loss to Morris Knolls (8-2).

Jacie Cooper’s 11 points led the way for Morris Knolls, while Julia Strother and Jenna Mazzola each added eight points for a Knolls team that held a nine-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Jackie Wolf finished with seven points and Katie Schnabel added six points in the loss for Par Hills (3-6).

Parsippany Girls Fall

Samantha Tabakman finished with a game high 18 points as the Pequannock girls basketball team stopped Parsippany, 50-39, according to NJ.com.

Ashley Burroughs added a team high 16 points for Parsippany, who fell to 2-5 this season with the loss.
