I wonder if the football parents are smart enough to know that you can still lose 52-0 in the township's proposed multi-million-dollar Al Bundy Memorial Stadium East.

Tough loss. Still I think it would be a better idea to combine Par Hills and Par High. This would enable the creation of one excellent team with amazing facilities instead of a mediocre team with diluted resources. I know not all will get to play under this scheme, but a winning team with great facilities will give us all something to root for and take pride in. Losses like this are tough for all involved - both kids and community.

52-0 is just totally humiliating. Usually a winning team will put in their 2nd and 3rd string players (or JV squad) when they have a comfortable lead. I wonder if Madison was so gracious? This is a new, first year coach for the RedHawks, let's assume he needs to "tweek" his team a bit.

Sure, join both high schools together and spend $250 million dollars to build a new unified high school.

as a huge high school football fan, madison started the game with their second string

Some of you football parents had better come to terms with the fact that your kids aren't Division 1 scholarship material. The kids are getting exercise so that's a good thing.

It looks to me like this article is about how the town, friends and family are supporting the players, regarless of the score of the game. By the way Madison has been the state champs for the last two years. These players deserve credit for proudly taking the field each week as PARSIPPANY Red Hawks football players. Why would someone even make a comment about being a Division I player - what's wrong with just enjoying playing for your high school? These are the same group of boys who went house to house last year after Hurricane Irene and helped those in need by removing furniture, rugs, appiances, etc. They came together to help their community, it would be nice if the people in Parsippany came together to support the football players that play for their local high school without posting such negative comments, these are high schools kids we are talking about.

This house is beautifully decorated and its great that the town provides the players, cheerleaders and the band with a motorcade which enables residents to cheer them on! - Good luck to the PHS football team this season!

I personally see myself how hard these athletes work. The new coach is great- he is not only teaching the players how to play the sport but also focuses on academics. This is only the beginning, I am positive that there are good things to come. Our sportsmanship and spirit is also very high-which most schools are not.. GO HAWKS!

Al Bundy's main focus in high school was football and education was way down on his priority list. He ended up selling shoes at a mall shoe store. http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/4527303_700b.jpg

Moe, stop spending your time reading this stuff. You'll get eye strain and you won't be to read the foot measuring device. http://www.paternitypains.com/blog-images/albundy_shoes.jpg

The Parsippany Red Hawks lost to Hackettstown 20-0. Maybe it's time to rethink the high-school football programs in Parsippany. It might be time to make Parsippany football an intramural flag-football program before someone on the current team gets hurt.
