Parsippany Ices West Essex, Lenape With Big Wins
Back-to-back wins show strengths in defense, pitching.
Led on the mound by Kiersten Koch and Katie Dusko, the Parsippany Ice softball team posted 20 runs in two games for back-to-back wins recently.
Against West Essex the young ladies posted a 13-4 win as Koch silenced the opposition’s bats, while Arianna Urban scored a triple and Lauren Hernandez, Abby Adams, Sabrina Gong, Madison Thiel, Jessica Stanton and Julia Katz played stellar defense.
The going got tough against Lenape, but the young ladies held on for a one-run, 7-6 victory thanks to pitching by Dusko, Koch and Diana Yturbe. Emma Wright, Angelina Fucci and Erin Hollinghurst held steady defense as well.
