The Parsippany High School wrestling team didn't have to work hard to beat Kinnelon 72 -9 Wednesday night. The contest was over almost before it began due to a lack of competing Kinnelon wrestlers, which caused the Colts to forfeit most matches.
"We won, but the other team has been without wrestlers so there were actually only four matches, we won two and they won two,'' Parsippany High head coach Fred Piotrowsky explained.
The four matches that did take place happened prior to the official 7 p.m. start time because the Kinnelon team arrived early. The team also left early due to the amount of forfeits.

Piotrowsky expressed confusion about the status of the Kinnelon team but said he thought the Colts had a very good team last year. The Kinnelon wrestlers who did compete fought Parsippany High to an even split.

Sean Paz (135) of Parsippany, won by a pin.
Ian Radford (160) of Parsippany, won by pin.
Mike Persaud of Parsippany (140) lost by pin.
Nick Pizzuta of Parsippany, lost by decision.
The rest of the Parsippany team won their matches by forfeit.
