Par-Troy East Hosts Challenger Program For Day of Ball Field Fun

Disabled youth pair up with Little League players to take part in modified game.

Parsippany-Troy Hills Little League East recently spent a Sunday hosting the Morris County Challenger Little League program, helping mentally and physically disabled kids from the area take part in America’s pastime.

The Challenger League, developed in 1989, is designed for disabled boys and girls to buddy up with non-disabled players to enjoy the full benefits of Little League and play a game on the field.

Little League rules are modified to provide an equal playing field for everyone – both disabled and non-disabled.
