Red Hawks Track Team Preps for Upcoming Season

It's cold out there, but that doesn't keep the Parsippany High track team from lacing up and preparing for the 2014 Winter Track Season.

"The team started practice this past week and have their eyes set on the start of the season in less than (one week)," said Maurice Saunders, of the PHS Trackers Booster Club, in his Patch Post.  "With the majority of the team back from last Winter and a strong 2013 Cross Country season, the Red Hawks looks to build on that momentum."

Their first track meet is next Thursday. They face off against O’Leary Lid Lifter at Drew University at 4:30 p.m.

"The Lady Red Hawks are led by 2-time 55m State Sectional Champion Bria Saunders and boast the return of all their varsity athletes and expect to be very competitive in the relay events," said Saunders. "On the Boys side, senior Bhargav Tarpara is coming off his best cross country season and will lead to the team against an always deep and talented field of Morris County teams."
