10-and-Under Diamonds Baseball Team Wins Season Opener

Patience at the plate key to the win.

The 10-and-under Diamonds baseball season opened yesterday at the PTWLL Complex where they hosted the Sparta Muckdogs.  Justin Jasiecki and JD Breslauer had 2 hits a piece to lead their team to an opening day 10 - 6 victory. Aidan Zitelli, Casey Gorczyca and Josh Clark each contributed a hit as well.

"The key to the win was patience at the plate from all of the batters" said Matt Clark, a Diamonds Coach.  The team was able to work 11 walks from the Sparta pitchers.  Ethan Bosi walked 3 times and scored 3 runs and Nick Chraca walked twice and scored both times.

Josh Clark, Casey Gorczyca, Ethan Bosi and Aidan Zitelli pitched well.
