UPDATE: NWS Issues Severe T-Storm Watch for Morris

There could be hail, heavy rain and frequent lightning.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Morris County through 11 p.m. Thursday. That means Parsippany could get hit with some pretty crazy weather.

The NWS web site has the Parsippany-specific forecast: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 11 p.m. and midnight. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.
