Local Girl Scouts Help Hospice Patients

Troop 1966 donated neck pillows to benefit Barnabas Health Hospice in West Orange.

Parsippany's Girl Scout Troop 1966 recently donated more than 50 handmade neck pillows to patients at the Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center in West Orange.

The project was part of the troop’s effort to earn its Gold Award—the highest service award attainable by a Girl Scout. Through various organizational fundraisers, including its annual cookie sale, the troop was able to raise money to purchase the supplies needed to construct the pillows.

Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center provides physical, emotional and spiritual care and support services to patients with advanced illness throughout 10 New Jersey counties in New Jersey. For more information, visit www.barnabashealthhospice.org.
