Motorcycle Club Sees the Sights and Spreads Its Message

Uncle Sam's Avengers, back from a 2,000-mile motorcycle trek, gets back to its charitable activities.

Call it a boys' week out.

Uncle Sam's Avengers Motorcycle Club is an organization comprised of current or honorably discharged members of the U.S. armed forces and officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. On Friday, the group returned from a six-day, 2,000-mile motorcycle ride to six cities in six states. The goal of the trip, according to a club statement, was to spread goodwill.

Another purpose for the journey is the reason behind the club's existence: to preserve the American way of life and honor "those who fought before."
