A Natural Preserve for Bird Habitat

Loss of habitat is the greatest threat to many songbird species. Recent studies show a decline in many species populations. Development of course is the main culprit; especially corporate sprawl  through insensitive Municipal Planning Boards which side with large developers for temporal reasons ignoring impacts scenarios for the future. Waterview has a "mature upland forest" with important trees for wildlife habitat and harbors food  sources like wild grape and  wisteria. This landscape could inspire a complete plant inventory and a place to study and observe species of birds still present in the area. The NJ Audubon Society could utilize it as a study area. Perhaps even local Schools could become involved through a science ecology project.
This beautiful remaining landscape need be preserved for the beauty it adds to the local area alone. This little complicated ridge and wetland system not only protects our aquifers it gives character to Parsipanny,it is our land our country. The trees provide more benefits than any development could in an over developed area already.
