No Development on the Waterview Tract

As a resident of Intervale, I would like to see this space remain undeveloped. It remains a beautifully wooded space in a section of Parsippany that already has extensive development. Preserving the woodlands on the Waterview tract would be the best use of this land now and for the future.

Now that the application from RD Realty and the accompanying draft ordinance from the Planning Board have been voted on and dismissed by the Town Council, we should encourage the Town Council and Mayor Barberio to urgently and vigorously pursue buying Waterview with Open Space funding. Mayor Barberio has shown leadership by immediately proposing this course of action at the conclusion of the Town Council vote. All of the interested parties who so passionately participated in the due process of the application and ordinance procedure should show their support of the Mayor’s actions. I believe that Mayor Barberio’s plan to preserve Waterview as woodlands has the best chance of success.
