Lake Hiawatha Hawks to Take on Harlem Wizards

Mt. Tabor’s winter carnival is Saturday from 11-3 with a snow date of Feb. 1. Also on Saturday is the Harlem Wizards will take on the the Lake Hiawatha Hawks in a fun basketball game at 1 p.m. at PHS. 

This second annual event is a fundraiser hosted by the Lake Hiawatha Elementary School PTA. Hawks players range from parents to teachers and staff. The Harlem Wizards are a professional basketball team and for last year's inaugural Harlem Wizards game, Michele Budd, Lake Hiawatha PTA president said, "the Wizards game was the ultimate family fun experience, not just for our school but for our entire community. Such a great event."

According to the flyer, here are the admission costs. 

• Student Admission $10 in advance/$12 at the door 
• General Admission $12 in advance/$15 at the door

There are several school concerts this week. On Wednesday, 6th grade chorus and 7th grade band at 7 p.m. at Brooklawn MS and 6th grade chorus and band at 7 p.m. at Central MS.

Parsippany Hills HS’ Sophomore/Junior Parent Night is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as well. Thursday is Central MS’ Baldwin Oaks Trip.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills school board meets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Friday is Northvail’s Bingo Pizza Night at 7 p.m. and Parsippany HS Senior Fun Night at Funplex as well as Brooklawn PTSA’s Variety Show at 7 p.m.
