Waterview Vote, Parsippany Chamber's Jobs Program this Week

At the last Parsippany council meeting, the public hearing and vote on the controversial ordinance, which rezones a tract of land in the Waterview complex, was postponed to meeting this Tuesday due to time constraints.

Tuesday’s meeting will be at Parsippany Hills High School at 7 p.m.

Those looking for a job should consider the Employment Outreach program on Monday. It’s hosted by the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce and the program is called ‘Employment Search with the Use of Databases’ – A Workshop for Job Seekers. Targeted toward people in a career transition, the workshop is from 10 a.m. – noon and will take place at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Free Public Library. The event is free but registration is required because there are only 30 spots. RSVP at this website.

Parsippany Hills High School senior parent night and Parsippany High School freshmen parent night is Wednesday.

Parsippany students should get a good night’s rest and have a hearty breakfast this week. Parsippany’s high schools HSPA testing runs from Tuesday through Thursday. The HSPA is the State’s High School Proficiency Assessment.

On Monday is Lake Hiawatha’s fall pictures, so make sure your child’s hair is combed and shirt is wrinkle-free. The PTSA meets at Brooklawn MS at 7 p.m. and Central MS spirit week and week of respect starts Monday.
