Twp. Planning Board to Discuss Office Building Site Plan

At the Planning Board-Minor Site Plan/SubDivision Meeting and General Business Meeting on Monday night at 7 p.m., the applicant at 40 Baldwin Road will come before the board for a minor site plan application.

Currently, 40 Baldwin Road is an office building that houses American Office Centers, LLC, Millenium Home Mortgage, LLC, Metis Group, LLC, and other businesses. 

This office building is located next to the proposed Hare Krishna temple by applicant International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). 

Jeffrey Jones, a principal and co-owner of commercial realty firm Baldwin Ventures at 40 Baldwin Road, has raised concerns in the past that the presence of the temple would have a negative economic impact on his company in the future.

ISKCON recently received a long-awaited approval from the zoning board. At that zoning board meeting, Baldwin Ventures brought up concerns with sufficient parking at the temple's site.

The zoning board will meet on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and on the agenda is Zandy’s Acres at 648 Old Dover Rd. Zandy’s Acres is looking for a use variance to construct 26 multi family dwelling units within three buildings. This is a continued hearing from the June 19 meeting.

This long-underway effort is to build affordable housing for veterans.

For the school district, Monday starts Spirit Week for Central MS as well as the auditions for its Musical. 

Parsippany Hills PTSA meets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Also, the Parsippany School Board meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Board of Education building on Thursday too.

The Parsippany Hills High football team will face off against undefeated Summit High School at Kean University on Friday at 7 p.m. in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 state championship.
