Mayor, Councilman Square Off on Harassment Allegation

Near the end of a lengthy, animated Parsippany-Troy Hills Town Council meeting Tuesday, politics took full circle. 

During the meeting at Parsippany Hills High School, the mayor and council responded to a statement from the public about what is equivalent to a gag order being implemented by Mayor James Barberio on councilman and mayoral candidate Jonathan Nelson.

Parsippany Residents Lash Out at Waterview's 'Hidden Agenda'

For Parsippany residents and environmentalists, the Waterview Corporate Park zoning issue was anticipated to be the most deliberated topic of Tuesday’s meeting. But with no comments from the council, the issue flew under the radar, until the public had a chance to speak.

The customary agenda meeting is where the Council formalizes topics for the next gathering (held two weeks from now). So, with Waterview on Tuesday's agenda, it means it stands to be introduced for a first reading on Aug. 20.

Residents Condemn Electricity Aggregation Proposal

A new electricity aggregation proposal was laid out Tuesday before Parsippany residents, who responded with fury, citing “intrusive” intentions and deplorable municipal power. 

The township has hired Gabel Associates, Inc. to implement a procurement process for a third-party supplier to provide power supply to Parsippany residents. Their executive vice president, Robert Chilton, attended Tuesday’s meeting of the Township Council to detail the program’s features.

For Julie Quinn, it wasn’t necessarily the contents of the foods she was eating that contributed to a gradual weight gain at a young age, it was the quantity. But thanks to a mid-workout epiphany and an accommodating 401(K), her weight loss journey hit the ground running. 

Quinn, 35, a Parsippany resident and employee of a Manhattan elevator corporation, has lost 120 pounds in her current weight-loss quest, after lap-band surgery, and the multi-muscle group stirring workouts of fitness expert Eric Moss.

Parsippany High Grad Ready to Lead as Principal

Dr. Denis Mulroony, who has been in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District for the past 12 years, is now serving as the new principal at Parsippany High School (PHS).

The announcement was made by Interim Superintendent Dr. John Fitzsimons during a Board of Education meeting to a round of applause from dozens of residents, teachers and paraprofessionals who attended the meeting to show opposition to a request for proposal to outsource paraprofessionals.
