Fans of the band Smackwater Jack are in luck. They’re playing at Parsippany’s Blackthorn Pub this weekend and it should be a good one because, not only is it their last show of 2013 and it's the weekend before Christmas, but they have a reason to celebrate.
“This has become an annual event that we look forward to every year, and this show is going to be even more fun than the others because it also happens to be Jay's 40th birthday,” said the band. This is their third year they’re celebrating his birthday at Blackthorn.

Smackwater Jack plays “the classic hits as well as the newest and freshest songs that most of the other bands don't play. We keep things fun and exciting by constantly adding new songs to our repertoire so that you never hear the same set list twice,” according to the band’s website.
