The Parsippany Troy Hills Township Police Department currently employs a force of 100 officers, who operate from a 33,000-square-foot headquarters that was completed in 2004.
The department was established in 1931 and in its early years had only three officers. It now includes a Patrol Division and Traffic Section and an Investigative Unit that has both Adult and Juvenile sections. The township's DARE program is run by police officers, who teach in both grammar and parochial schools.
