Jewelry Stolen in Lake Shore Drive Burglary, Cops Say

Resident returned home Tuesday evening and found master bedroom ransacked, police said.

Jewelry was stolen from a Lake Shore Drive residence Tuesday night, Parsippany Police said. Officer Ross Cooper responded to the Lake Hiawatha home after receiving a report of the incident at about 6:15 p.m., according to a statement released Wednesday by Officer Earl Kinsey. A resident returned home and found the master bedroom ransacked and jewelry missing, the statement said. Police believe entry to the house was gained via a basement window, according to Kinsey, a department spokesman who said it was not immediately known how much the jewelry was worth.
