Prescription Fraud Bust Leads to Arrest of Stanhope Man

Police say the man also had outstanding warrants from three municipalities.

A Stanhope man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly trying to fill a fraudulent prescription at the Parsippany Kmart at 808 Route 46, Parsippany Police said. Anthony R. Lamicella, 47, was taken into custody and charged with attempting to obtain Oxycodone by forgery, specifically by presenting a fraudulent prescription, according to a police statement. At about 4 p.m., according to department spokesperson Sgt. Yvonne Christiano, Officers Paul Levi and Ross Cooper responded to the drug store after getting a report of the incident. At the scene, the officers encountered Lamicella who was arrested and charged. Union Woman Nabbed on Warrant Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Parsippany Police report a Union resident was picked up in the township on outstanding warrants in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Shannon McCartney, 28, was discovered at about 12:30 a.m. while she was a passenger of a black Toyota found by Officer Thomas Dinkelspiel in the parking lot of Lake Parsippany Park, according to police. Police said Dinkelspiel found McCartney had two active failure to appear warrants totaling $1,000 out of Morristown and Madison. McCartney was arrested on the warrants and placed in the custody of Morristown Police Department, police said. For more information on this blotter, contact Natalie.Davis@patch.com.
