Alleged Oxycodone Deals Lead to Separate Arrests
Police say a Parsippany resident and a Fairfield man were arrested in separate cases.
Parsippany Police say two men—one from Parsippany, the other from Fairfield—were arrested recently for separate incidents involving the alleged distribution of oxycodone in the township. A police department statement says an investigation launched in August led to the arrest of Lake Hiawatha resident Richard Butyn, 28, who was taken into custody Oct. 23. Butyn faces two counts of distribution of controlled dangerous substances, according to police. Police spokesperson Patrolman Earl Kinsey said the probe that led to the arrest involved department-orchestrated drug buys in which Butyn allegedly sold oxycodone.
