Par High baseball fundraiser matches area families with delicious Italian fare.
The second annual Parsippany High School baseball pasta dinner at the Rockaway Neck District 5 firehouse Tuesday evening left attendees anything but hungry—and energized for the upcoming Red Hawks baseball season. A full house filled with wide smiles was present to nosh on penne and meatballs, salad and softdrinks or water. Among those in attendance was Red Hawks baseball coach Ken Dobkin. "This is going to be a good one," he said, referring to the forthcoming high school baseball season. " A lot of our guys are coming back. I'm excited!" Also on hand were members of the Parsippany Sons of Italy chapter, who helped out by preparing the traditional pasta and meatballs served at the dinner. The fundraiser, which benefitted Red Hawks …

Motorcade through the township paid tribute to each of the PHS team's players
The Parsippany High School Red Hawks varsity football team received a big boost of support from family and friends last Thursday evening. A motorcade featuring Parsippany Police and a host of cars carrying players snaked its way through the township, stopping at each Red Hawk's home. Many of the homes, such as the home of player Nick Jannarone photographed, were decorated in team colors. Each stop featured a quick performance by the Red Hawk cheerleaders to honor each player. The team went on to a 52-0 loss against Madison High School Saturday, bringing the High's varsity football record so far this season to 0-2.

The Vikings defeat their crosstown rival, the Parsippany High Red Hawks.
Under sunny skies, the varsity boys soccer teams from Parsippany High School and Parsippany Hills High School met for their yearly battle over the Parsippany Cup. This year, the prize went to Par Hill's Vikings, who grabbed an early lead and managed to keep it for the rest of the game. The final score was 2-1. PHHS coach Ahmed Kandil said that when his team plays to its potential, "they're unstoppable." Kandil said the team, whose record now stands at 5-5-1, has been struggling with injuries this season. The Hills' two goals came courtesy of players Sebastian Gallo and Christian Buitrago. Buitrago, a freshman, said he was thrilled to have connected. "It felt awesome," he said, "like I lifted the team's morale." The Parsippany High Red …

Parsippany linebacker shines on defense.
It’s been a rough start to the season for the Parsippany High football team, with losses to Kittatinny and Wallkill Valley both highlighted by the Red Hawks’ inability to find the end zone. While the Parsippany offense continued to struggle in Friday’s 32-0 loss to Kittatinny, there was one shining light, which came in the form of linebacker Adam Mansur. Mansur stepped up in a big way on Friday night, recording 10 tackles (two for loss), two sacks and forcing two fumbles. And despite his teams’ struggles, head coach Mike Adams acknowledged Mansur’s terrific play on the field. “He had a strong defensive performance and is always moving and finding the ball on the field,” Adams said. “He leads the linebacking group and is a key component to …
