What's going on in Parsippany over the next seven days

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Planning Board starts 2013 with its annual reorganization meeting Monday at 7 p.m. at Parsippany High School, Baldwin and Vail roads. The reorganization will be followed by a continuation of testimony regarding the controversial plan to bring Whole Foods Market, other merchants and a townhouse development to Waterview Plaza. Heavenly peace could be the subtitle for the coming week in Parsippany. Christmas comes Tuesday, which means a number of usual happenings will remain dark this week. But the big holiday certainly does not mean an end for all activities this week. The  Municipal Alliance Committee, a township advisory committee dedicated to preventing drug and alcohol abuse and destructive decisions holds its monthly meeting Monday at 7 p.m. at the Parsippany Police Athletic League at 33 Baldwin Road. This week, the group is expected to go over ideas for combatting drug abuse in the township suggested by town leaders at last week's Drug Prevention Leadership Summit. The Parsippany-Troy Hills Planning Board holds its December General Business Meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The Woman's Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills is proclaiming Nov. 19  Make a Difference Monday. On this Monday, the service group is sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit Family Promise. Please boycott the Mount Tabor Victorian Craft Fair. The money earned from this event is used to force a historic district down the throats of the people of Mount Tabor. If you are against a few people bullying their neighbors, boycott this event. Please spend your money elsewhere.
