Christmas Time Is Here And More This Week

What's happening in the township over the next seven days.

Heavenly peace could be the subtitle for the coming week in Parsippany. Christmas comes Tuesday, which means a number of usual happenings will remain dark this week. But the big holiday certainly does not mean an end for all activities this week. Certainly there are holiday observances: The Parsippany Christian Church at 205 Vail Road offers a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service Monday, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. United Methodist Church of Parsippany, 903 S. Parsippany happenings over the next seven days

The Municipal Alliance Committee, a township advisory committee dedicated to preventing drug and alcohol abuse and destructive decisions holds its monthly meeting Monday at 7 p.m. at the Parsippany Police Athletic League at 33 Baldwin Road. The Parsippany Planning Board meets Monday to discuss and approve (or deny) building requests with a focus on the township's Master Plan. The public is invited to attend. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors, a free peer-led volunteer support group for people actively looking for work meets Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Library, Lake Hiawatha Branch at 68 Nokomis Ave. in Hiawatha. You pay $15, and proceeds benefit CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc., a nonprofit organization that advocates for abused and neglected children in foster care.
