Carol, great idea. Can you please give more details to your idea of bringing parsippany closer. I think we all want to work towards that goal.

There should be nothing to stop you from asking those questions. There also is nothing you can do to make anyone answer you.

The exact same thing could have happened with Pat. Let her go on and on for five minutes, give no response, then move on to the next person.

Lou, what is stopping anyone from accusing? You state that you CAN NOT accuse someone of something. Yes you can, being able to prove it and convict them of that same something is completely different.

quote from tracya "Your lies smell as bad as your breath."

Wow, talk about sounding like 6th grade girls.
I find it amazing that people can not have a discussion with out trying to rip each other apart and get into insults.
Are you just playing with words? 4 people get together in a building at a set time, that is NOT a meeting? What do you call it? I have met one person at a coffee shop and called it a meeting. I have been in an office with one, two and three other people and called it a meeting. Whether you call it a meeting or a conversation why won't the Mayor just talk to his constituents and tell us his version of the story.

We can base who we vote for based on what we see.

Mayor Barberio is a bully. He tries to intimidate and threaten you into submission. He does not talk to you unless he thinks he can get something from you. He does not return phone call or messages left for him so you can talk about town issues. If he doesn't think the phone call is going to help him he doesn't bother. He is in it for himself and those close to him. He is not in it as a public servant for the entire town of Parsippany. He yells at people in public and at town meetings. He is rude and obnoxious to those that attend meetings if they don't agree with him.

There is no one that will ever be elected that 100% of the towns people want or like but the Mayor could listen to both sides and treat everyone with respect. That is not to much to ask.

I am not a supporter of anyone running for Mayor. I am not making these things up. If anyone does not believe me go to a few town meetings and see for yourself. Also, try to call the Mayor and talk to him about an issue that is important to you. Leave a message for him to get back to you (I did for many days in a row). Still waiting on that return phone call.

Your comments are asinine. Show me anyone that is going to just give up 6 months salary they earned "for the good of the people"? I do not like the payouts or the pensions that these public employees enjoy but they are legal and written into their contracts. These professionals are not doing anything illegal or wrong by exercising them to the fullest extent.
If we the people do not like the huge payouts then we need to change the contracts at the beginning. Not just sit around and whine about it after these people have given us 15, 20, even 35 years of their life.

These couples are not looking to get married in the Church. They want their marriage to be recognized by the Government. Millions and millions get married in other places than a church (the beach, town hall, on a ship) and those marriages are recognized by the government. That is all that these couples are looking for. This has NOTHING to do with religion.
You have it in your head because a Church also has a wedding ceremony and a sacrament of marriage that gay people want that. They don't. They want the government to recognize their marriage. The government should treat all citizens equally. The Church can be as hypocritical as it wants to be. Remember the separation of Church and State, this is a perfect example.

The area is zoned for development. The City can not just keep saying no to every plan and expect the developers to be ok with that.

Just curious if we are looking to fix ALL the athletic fields or just the football field? There were a few comments during the FOD presentation and again mentioned during the referendum talks that a girls soccer team came to one of the high schools looked at the field, turned around, got back on the bus and went home. I would say that if there is any field in that disastrous condition that would be the FIRST field fixed with any money. I never heard any stories like that about the football field at either school.

What ever solution comes about at this point is not going to be one field that all students will use. We have to be prudent with what ever money comes in and spend it where it is needed most, not where there are the most boosters. If there is the most need in the field hockey field that is where the first efforts should go, if the second greatest need is the football field then there, maybe baseball next and soccer last. I have no idea which order is most pressing but we should all understand that this is about ALL students and ALL fields, not just the football field. Remember the turf is not happening with top soil and seeding. That is fixing a grass field. If we are fixing a grass field then we should fix the one with the most need.

By the way for anyone that doesn't want to click through these are coming from the NJ Statutes. These are the laws of our State. It is the responsibility of the BOE and County Elections to make sure every citizen knows about the election. It is NOT the responsibility of the electorate to know about an upcoming election.
