Carolyn: To answer your question, there are lots of adults who agree that the fields need help. But the way in which the town wants to pay for the fields is giving many people trouble. I know the kids want new fields now and think that's the most important thing, but--and this is a good life lesson--if you can't pay for it, you can't have it. People make that choice over medical decisions sometimes or when of it or what to eat. If you can't pay for it, needed or not, the answer sometimes is no. But I think most people agree with you that the fields need work and student athletes need something better.
You sound like a good, smart young woman. I am glad to see you on Patch, and if you would ever like to blog for us (with your parents' permission) and share the youth point of view, that would be absolutely welcome.
Thanks, Carolyn!
