Have you ever heard the story of the fish Barberio caught . According to Barberio it was about 5 feet long and weighed 150 lbs. He said it was the largest fish ever caught.

AND I BELIEVE EVERY WORD HE SAID. HE IS SO HONEST.

Sammy, I don't know if you were in the military but let me give you an example of how the military trains.

All training is done by military personnel. When I finished training I went directly to the flight line and started working on planes. I have to mention that all work on military planes is reviewed by a supervisor.

I was in the Air force and was trained to be airplane and engine mechanic. I went to school for 8 hours a day 6 days a week for almost 10 months.

I think such military training could be transferred to civilians. Civilians could be trained on military bases . Cost of such training could be subsidized by the military.

Why do students in wealthy neighborhoods perform better than those students in poorer neighbor hoods?

Is it because schools in wealthy neighborhoods hire only top teachers with a grade point average of 3.5 or better?

Do teachers in wealthy neighborhoods get a higher salary than those in a poorer neighbor hood?

Are teachers in wealthy neighborhoods more motivated than those in poorer neighborhoods?

Just what motivates the teachers in wealthy neighborhoods?

According to the National Adult Literacy Survey, 42 million adult Americans can't read; 50 million can recognize so few printed words they are limited to a 4th or 5th grade reading level; one out of every four teenagers drops out of high school, and of those who graduate, one out of every four has the equivalent or less of an eighth grade education.

According to current estimates, the number of functionally illiterate adults is increasing by approximately two and one quarter million persons each year.

The federal government alone has more than 79 literacy-related programs administered by 14 federal agencies.

The total amount of money being spent on illiteracy by the federal government can only be guessed at, because there has never been a complete assessment prepared.

A conservative estimate would place the amount at more than ten billion dollars each year, and growing steadily.

How much more do we have to spend to get a good rate of return?

Instead of money why not get better teachers and pay the better teachers. Now the money goes to bad teachers at the same amount given to great teachers.

ATLANTA — A grand jury has indicted about three dozen educators in a standardized test cheating scandal that rocked Atlanta's public school system.

The indictment was released Friday afternoon. The cheating scandal was one of the largest in the nation.

A state investigation in 2011 found cheating on standardized tests by nearly 180 educators in 44 Atlanta schools. Investigators say educators gave answers to students or changed answers on tests after they were turned in. Investigators say teachers who tried to report the cheating faced retaliation, creating a culture of "fear and intimidation." in the district.

Former Superintendent Beverly Hall was among those indicted. She faces charges including racketeering, false statements and theft. She retired just days before the 2011 probe was released. She has previously denied the allegations.

In ten years, Wisconsin doubled its per-pupil spending on the public schools, from just under $5,000 in 1998 to over $10,000 in 2008.

Government tests, though, find that only 32 percent of the kids in Wisconsin’s public schools can read properly.

Hello America, it is time to wake up. Spending more money doesn't do the job.

I guess the government knows its priorities.

About 10,000 deaths nationwide a year are related to drunken driving. The NTSB says the lower limit would save 500 to 800 lives a year.

In 2005, a total of 292,808 blacks died in the U.S. That same year, almost twice as many blacks (roughly 447,700) were killed by abortion

    - For the first time in seven years, the number of fatalities caused by motor vehicle accidents in the United States rose last year. According to the National Safety Council, approximately 36,200 people died in auto accidents across the country in 2012.

An average of 195,000 people in the USA died due to potentially preventable, in-hospital medical errors in each of the years 2000, 2001 and 2002,

Military people look up to this guy because he is a hero. He earned his place among the military.

He fought next to his men when he didn't have to even go into the military.

There was a price on his head, but he still stayed with his men and his men stayed with him.
