Residents Return From Vacation to Find Home 'Ransacked'

Police investigate Nantes Road burglary.

Parsippany residents returned to find their Nantes Road home burglarized Wednesday evening, Police Chief Paul Philips said.

The homeowners said they just got back from vacation “and found that their bedrooms had been ransacked,” Philips said.

Officers found pry marks on the frame of the back door, the likely point of entry, police said. The burglary occurred sometime between the beginning of the month and Wednesday, when the residents returned home.

The light bulbs in the motion sensor light in the back of the house seemed to have been loosened, police said. It was not immediately known what was taken.
