Trio Spotted Fleeing From Old Bloomfield Avenue Garage Break-In

Police also found an attempted break-in to a nearby home Monday afternoon.

Three men are sought after breaking into a garage on Old Bloomfield Avenue Monday afternoon, Parsippany Police said.

When Sgt. Edmund Ailara and officers Matthew McAuliffe and Joseph Kornas arrived at the home at about 1:15 p.m., the resident said he saw a silver convertible Ford Mustang parked in his driveway and three men, police said.

Two of the men were standing near the car and another—wearing a red sweatshirt and black jeans and about 20 years old—was climbing out of the garage window, police said.

They got into the Mustang and fled toward New Road, police said. Police said the man got into the garage through an unlocked window. Nothing appeared missing and there were no signs of entry into the home, police said.

Officers discovered a break-in attempt into a Warrior Way home nearby where a screen was damaged, police said. It did not appear entry was gained into that home, police said.
