Primary Challenge Case Dismissed, November Ballot Set

Robert Peluso, Louis Valori move on to November election.

A judge has dismissed a challenging motion made by two Parsippany-Troy Hills candidates alleging voter fraud, confirming the winners of the June primary for two council seats to be Robert Peluso and Louis Valori.

Candidates Michael Strumolo, a current Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education member, and Council Vice President Vincent Ferrara each filed petitions with the Superior Court in Morristown contesting the results as they were ahead in the election before mail-in ballots came in. The two claimed numerous illegal mail-in votes were made.

On Thursday, a judge dismissed the case despite several witnesses testifying to technical violations of the mail-in ballot collection, according to the Daily Record.
