Vikings Place Second in National Marching Band Competition

They also have an upcoming Holiday Marketplace fundraiser this Saturday.

Parsippany Hills High School Marching Band continues to place high in competitions.

The band placed second in the US Bands Nationals Preview in Union, NJ on Nov. 2 with a score of 90.575 in their group 3A.

"In their final competition of the season the PHHS marching band finished in second place ... the band scored 90.575 which is the highest score by a PHHS band since 2008," said PHHS. "Congratulations to the band on an outstanding season."

There were five other bands in Group 3A and North Warren Regional High School came in first, beating the Vikings by less than a point. PHHS received an award for best music for their program Awakening. 

Back in September, they also placed second in the Morris Knolls High School for a Gold Star Show competition with a score of 66 in their group and North Warren Regional High School beat them with only .05 point difference in scores. PHHS also took home awards for best music and percussion from that competition.
