Cash, Jewelry Stolen in Parsippany Home Burglary

Several rooms in the Trouville Drive house were 'ransacked' on Monday.

A 76-year-old resident returned home after being gone for about five hours and found jewelry and cash were stolen from her Trouville Drive home on Monday in the latest of a series of Parsippany home break-ins, police said.

When Parsippany Patrol Sgt. Allan Griffin and officers Michael Sprung and Daniel Conte got to the home, they saw no signs of forced entry, but “several rooms were ransacked and parts of a jewelry box were scattered throughout the master bedroom," police said. The resident had been out from 1 to about 5:50 p.m., police said.

An unknown amount of jewelry and $250 in cash was reported stolen.
